When addressing musical organology as a description and systematization tool for the classification of sound instruments, the need to study frameworks and methodological tools from other fields of knowledge was observed. Among them were oral history, archeomusicology and photography. The methodology is descriptive and is presented in three phases: the theoretical basis, the simple observation, the collection of memories and photographic material and finally, the presentation of results obtained through the investigation.

Keywords : cuadrillas of San Martín; organology; sound artifacts; historical memory and music; colombian musical instruments.
