Abstract

NINO ARTEAGA, YESID. Contributions of philosophy to critical thinking: Education as liberation? An answer based on Nietzsche, Freire and Zuleta. Hallazgos [online]. 2020, vol.17, n.34, pp.185-208.  Epub Sep 01, 2020. ISSN 1794-3841.  https://doi.org/10.15332/2422409x.4884.

This article presents outlines of writing that can be used to understand the relationship between education and critique as disarticulation, instability and contradiction of all acts of oppression. In the Latin American context, this seems inadmissible, but it does happen and the advance of neoliberalism in school education seems to sponsor it. The problem lies in the fact that the central elements of the crisis of the humane in education today are not known or confronted, while the issues of freedom and critical attitude seem to be taken for granted. Hence, we seek to project, from the emergence of the essay, supported by a critical-philosophical display, an analysis that relates the developments of Friedrich Nietzsche, Paulo Freire and Estanislao Zuleta on the contributions of philosophy to education as well as to the concept of critical thinking.

Keywords : philosophy of education; cultural critic; education; critical thinking.
