Abstract

MORALES-GUALDRON, Silvia Teresa; PINEDA ZAPATA, Uriel  and  DORADO URBANO, Jorge Esteban. Service and entrepreneurial profile factors that affect the survival of businesses: a critical revision. Rev. Lasallista Investig. [online]. 2014, vol.11, n.2, pp.181-194. ISSN 1794-4449.

The high mortality of businesses worldwide has generated an interest to study its causes. This paper introduces a critical revision about two big issues that affect the survival of businesses: the entrepreneur and the quality of the service. This revision demonstrates that most of the studies available praise the personal characteristics in the success of the business, putting aside areas such as the strategic conception of the service and the use of marketing techniques to address companies towards the clients.

Keywords : entrepreneurship; human capital; service management; survival.
