Abstract

GARCIA MARIN, María Eulalia. The ecosophia: a contribution to the memory of Pueblo Bello. Rev. Lasallista Investig. [online]. 2018, vol.15, n.1, pp.143-151. ISSN 1794-4449.  https://doi.org/10.22507/rli.v15n1a16.

Ecosophy is a concept that proposes a profound knowledge, which allows taking care of nature, natural resources, and the existence of humans and other living beings in order to live wisely with the environment. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to reveal how the change of thought results in new habits that make possible the assimilation of every aspect of living with the purpose of achieving a harmonious coexistence in a changing world. Bearing this in mind, the paper turns to hermeneutics as a way of attending to philosophical tradition and of reaching a wider interpretation of the data collected in the field work. Additionally, a key aspect of mental ecosopohy is remembrance as the starting point of a society that looks for the ethical-political meaning of its existence. It is concluded that the community of Pueblo Bello (Turbo, Antioquia), a territory under construction and that has suffered the consequences of violence, has chosen, in an ethical sense, the restoration of their vital order in order to opt for a transformation in their way of living.

Keywords : Ecosophy; Pueblo Bello; Memory; Oikos.
