Abstract

CARDONA, Patricia. Nation and Narration: The Writing of the History in the second-half of XIX Century in Colombia. Co-herencia [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.12, pp.161-179. ISSN 1794-5887.

This article develops the topic of history as national narrative through the "homeland histories" model. This class of history must be understood as poetics since they build a vision of the past that legitimize the present and project the future. These histories debate themselves between ideology, pedagogy, moral and the successions of events of the past which organize and define the political goals of national accounts.

Keywords : History; nation; narration; country histories.
