Abstract

RAMIREZ CASTRO, Juana. What presuppositions underlie studies on violence in Colombia?: Between convictions and the daily reality of their choice. Co-herencia [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.13, pp.69-93. ISSN 1794-5887.

This article presents the results of an investigation into the presuppositions that guide studies on violence in Colombia. It identifies the "best thought convictions" of those who from different scientific disciplines evaluate study or try to understand violent actions. All this, under the purpose of constructing the basis for any reflection on the distance that exists between these presuppositions and the reality of violence in Colombia.

Keywords : Violence; convictions; assumption; theoretical narratives.
