Abstract
LOPEZ LOPERA, Liliana María. The liberalism is one and trino: Hayek, Bobbio and Berlin. Co-herencia [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.13, pp.151-179. ISSN 1794-5887.
The author shows in this text the faces of liberalism when it tries to make compatibles, incompatibles or absolutes the liberal values of liberty and equality. In particular, put forward the contrast between the arguments of an author that, considering liberty as a absolute and sufficient value in itself, point out the existence of a necessary relation among equality before the law, individual liberty and social inequalities (Hayek); the core of the thesis of a liberal socialist who defends the possibility of render compatible and interdependent the individual liberty with the material equality (Bobbio), and the premise of an agonist liberal for whom liberty and equality as political values not only are incompatibles and incommensurables, but also are subdued to comparative, estimative and evaluative judgments that could require "painful choices" (Berlin).
Keywords : Socialist Liberalism; evolutionist liberalism; agonist liberalism; liberty; equality.
