Abstract

CUARTAS R, Juan Manuel. In the name of Edmund Husserl: the Gadamer affair or the stairway to emptiness. Co-herencia [online]. 2011, vol.8, n.15, pp.129-144. ISSN 1794-5887.

The thesis I'm looking to advance is related to Wittgestein's "Stairway to emptiness, applied to the intellectual relationship between Edmund Husserl and Hans-Georg Gadamer. An event that is not self evident if we consider that in philosophical discussions the "humanistic tradition plays a role that is difficult to put aside. The proximity between Gadamer and Husserl has shown Gadamer's resistance to "appreciate Husserl's complex phenomenology. The latter being put on hold by the difference revealed from the relationship Philosophy - Science in both authors.

Keywords : Edmund Husserl; Philosophy as a Strict Science; Hans-Georg Gadamer; Philosophy; Phenomenology.
