Resumen

CADAVID RAMIREZ, Lina Marcela. Mystical passivity and deautomatization: a naturalized understanding of mystic experience. Co-herencia [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.17, pp.195-217. ISSN 1794-5887.

The mystical experience has been studied from various fields of human knowledge. Nevertheless, it was considered that a study involving science and mysticism only leads to a demystified vision of this experience. But this stance is unaware of the shift in the paradigm that has taken science since the early twenty century. The purpose of this article is to contextualize the dialogue between science and mysticism from a naturalized approach, for understanding the mystical experience in its biological aspects, studying the singular characteristic of mystical passivity precisely from this naturalized approach.

Palabras clave : Mystical experience; mystical way; naturalized epistemology; mystical passivity; deautomatization.
