MENA MALET, Patricio. The phenomenon of appellation. Co-herencia [online]. 2015, vol.12, n.23, pp.107-137. ISSN 1794-5887.  https://doi.org/10.17230/co-herencia.12.23.5.

This article aims to investigate the phenomenon of appellation. In order to do that, I will examine the connection between phenomenology and appellation considering how we should understand Husserl's commination to return to the things themselves. Secondly, I will try to elucidate how a critical response to that phenomenological maxim has required a reinterpretation of our understanding of the phenomenon to the point of transforming Husserl's maxim from back to the things themselves to "back from the things themselves". Finally, we will investigate the appellation of the phenomenon from the perspective of the dialogue between Marion and Romano. We will not only try to demystify the specificity of appellation, but also try to discover what kind of close relationship we can find between phenomenon (specifically saturated phenomenon) and appellation.

Palavras-chave : Things themselves; saturated phenomenon; appellation; incumbency.
