This paper aims to describe some of the many economic activities developed by the German-born immigrants in Barranquilla during the period 1930-1941. Presented here how these foreigners were inserted through different occupations in the economic dynamics experienced by the city, being the driving forces of development. The study period corresponds to a time of remarkable activity of Germans in Barranquilla, as well as the last phase of his outstanding contribution in the life of the Caribbean city. With all of this is to highlight some features of one of the most influential foreign colonies in the history of the city.
