Abstract

This article discusses the different stages in which the bi-national Colombian-Venezuelan relationship has been framed, as well as the variables that have characterized and identified it. The paper examines the factors that have influenced the relationship, such as the delimitation of the border and security, critical components in the economic and commercial dynamic, to such levels that the their convergence or divergence affects the trade balance.
