The East Coast of Quintana Roo formed a region that has been defined by a unique architectural and sculptural style which flourished during the Postclassic period buildings have variants such as: masonry vaults or flat roofs are simple constructions of a camera or tilt of bases, platforms or low sockets. The decoration is reduced to the use of moldings on top of facades, as well as simple or decorated niches on the frieze. All this causes the architecture in the region is homogeneous and sometimes monotonous. Clearly the existence of stylistic influences and traits of different origins, several elements are considered as originates in Central Mexico as character, traits such as colonnaded halls, columns with carved figures, serpentine columns, Bases- sloping temples, circular structures, the verticality of the tops of the rafters. One can appreciate the use of other stylistic elements as the intentional breaking and the curvature of the walls, the lintels decks, the use of decorative trim and recess lintel, with the features mentioned above in achieved association, leading a unique and defined style.
