Abstract

VASSALLO, JAQUELINE. Traces of women linked to the Inquisition in the cultural heritage of Córdoba (Argentina), i8th-igth centuries. memorias [online]. 2022, n.47, pp.131-161.  Epub Aug 03, 2022. ISSN 1794-8886.  https://doi.org/10.14482/memor.47.272.22.

In this work we will try to reflect on the traces that have remained in the documentary, bibliographic and architectural heritage of Córdoba, of the women who went through the inquisitorial instance or who were linked to the actions of the Córdoba commissary during the 18th century and the first decade of the 19 th century. That is, we will scrutinize from a gender perspective, the extant traces of the women as well as the access and visibility policies implemented by the institutions that host documents of official origin, legal literature that only an elite read and possessed; as well as religious buildings and local museums.

Keywords : Inquisition; women; Córdoba; cultural heritage; i8th-igth centuries.
