Abstract
GOMEZ-PERTUZ, Andrés Fernando. The outskirts are on fire, brief reflection and case study of Anthropology at the Universidad del Magdalena, years 2007 and 2012. memorias [online]. 2022, n.47, pp.219-244. Epub Aug 03, 2022. ISSN 1794-8886. https://doi.org/10.14482/memor.47.986.102.
This text carries out an anthropological study at a regional and local level, specifically, the case of the "Universidad del Magdalena". This text focus on analytical studies from two ethnographic texts produced by the "Universidad del Magdalena" research group "Oraloteca", "pensando la región: ETNOGRAFIAS PROPIAS PARA LA CONSTRUCCION DE UN DISCURSO REGIONAL" (Silva, 2007) (Thinking about the Region's Own Ethnographies for the Construction of a Regional Discourse) and "observar: ¿QUÉ Y PARA QUÉ? ALGUNAS REFLEXIONES SOBRE LAS PRACTICAS METODOLÓGICAS EN EL EJERCICIO ETNOGRAFICO" (Silva, 2012) (Observe: What, and what for? Some Reflections on the Methodological Practices on the Ethnographic Exercise). It is worth mentioning that these two texts do not cover all the writing produced by the Universidad del Magdalena in the 20 years of its anthropology program, but in spite of this, they can be useful as reference and analysis material given that they were written in a context that sought to provide a basis for its own discourse from the program and that in turn managed to show the problems of the Caribbean region in Colombia.
Therefore, it is intended from the two texts to follow the debate on anthropological thought in the Anthropology Program of the Universidad del Magdalena, expanding that framework of discussion, already initiated by these texts.
