ACEVEDO CARVAJAL, Juan Manuel; ARISTIZABAL VALENCIA, César Alberto  and  DIAZ ARENAS, Pedro Felipe. ARMENIA AND ITS IMAGINARIES ABOUT THE CITY. sophia [online]. 2013, n.9, pp.115-128. ISSN 1794-8932.

In this text we will overview the project "Armenia Imaginada" seeking to identify city inhabitant's urban imaginaries. People experiences slowly create routes and routines that once studied offer a way of being urban. In this direction the city is a place where the citizen converges and where new ways of living are produced and perceived. The research is framed on the theories and methodologies of Dr. Armando Silva and the international project Imagined Cities. The perspective of educated city is framed on a phenomenon that must be studied by the academia; this is evidenced by the experiences already forwarded in different cities from Mexico to Argentina where the relation: Citizen, City and education is being explored in order to comprehend the good development of this city and its daily links.

Keywords : Perceptions; urban imaginaries; symbolic pregnancia; city education.
