Abstract

LOPEZ ECHEVERRI, Gloria Helena. The internationalization of higher education and training of world citizens, glocal citizens. sophia [online]. 2014, vol.10, n.2, pp.64-69. ISSN 1794-8932.

The internationalization of higher education is imperative for universities that have clear the training objectives of its students and the skills they must develop to be competitive in a globalized world where you need to "think globally and act locally". The internationalization of education must be a mainstream component of its curriculum mission statements, research and outreach activities, facilitating the inclusion of all students and overcoming the reductionist view of it at the time of circumscribing the possibility of pursuing academic semesters or internships abroad.

Keywords : Internationalization; glocal; global; inclusion; globalization; glocal citizens; world citizens.
