Abstract

The aim of this research was to evaluate the relations of the anger and the anxiety-depression in a sample of 103 patients of both gender with diagnosis of Arterial Hypertension from the city of Medellin, Colombia. There were in use as instruments the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HAD). As for the results there were demonstrated on the one hand high levels of anger control and for other one there was presence of mechanisms of suppression of this emotion. To general level, there were clinical levels of anger not neither of anxiety nor depression in the patients with diagnosis of Arterial hypertension
