This document of a reflective nature, aims to highlight the need to include to the Neuropsychology as a specialized psychological service within the Plan Obligatorio de Salud (POS). This, given that the Neuropsychology has taken increasing importance in recent times in the process of comprehensive care for persons in different circumstances have acquired a neurological disorder, through the implementation of processes of assessment, diagnostic and rehabilitation, programmes tailored to the particular needs and impacting on all phases of the development human from alterations in child development, until in the older adult neurodegenerative processes. The analysis is carried out within the parameters proposed by the Ministry of health and Social protection of Colombia (severity of illness or health condition, improvement of efficiency and effectiveness, clinical benefit, improvement in security and greater tolerance and differential need health) and ends showing evidence of other countries including Neuropsychological care within their health services.
