Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide a review of the social representations of gender by employers regarding the incorporation of women into management positions at services companies in the labor market in Jalisco, Mexico. Research will be conducted following a qualitative paradigm and using the phenomenological approach. It will make use of in-depth, semi-structured interviews and employ quantitative data collection techniques applied to a random sample which, out of convenience, consists of men and women who employ human resources at services companies. The conclusions will be drawn after completing the field work and the final analysis of qualitative data gathered from the respondents' input.
