Abstract
BARAHONA URBANO, Hélder; ROBERTO CABRERA MOYA, Diego Rafael and TORRES CASTRO, Uriel Eduardo. Al eadership in the twenty-first century. Entramado [online]. 2011, vol.7, n.2, pp.86-97. ISSN 1900-3803.
This review article discusses two fundamental issues related to leadership, i.e. the theory of leadership and the new social paradigms that management leaders and collaborating leaders at international organizations must face at any time in any given context or situation. The first part of the article provides a review of the theoretical framework of leadership from various perspectives. The second addresses the issue of how natural leaders should be allowed to come forward in all departments within a company to ensure that their decisions contribute to organizational growth and add value to all stakeholders in their organization. In short, it is emphasized that there is nothing left for us to do but to prepare ourselves to engage as leaders in the new organizational designs (networks) using technology that makes our performance more rapid, imaginative, and creative. Additionally, as individuals we need to be more committed to the role that we are called on to play in all contexts.
Keywords : Leadership; natural leadership; effective leader.
