Abstract
JARAMILLO MARIN, Jefferson. Social representations, social practices, and orders of discourse. A conceptual approximation based on critical discourse analysis. Entramado [online]. 2012, vol.8, n.2, pp.124-136. ISSN 1900-3803.
Social representations, social practices, and orders of discourse are commonplace conceptual tools in social sciences. Nevertheless, it is not always the social analyses that highlight the role that they play as resources of power and strategies of action and resistance. Neither is it shown how they are used by social agents in diverse situations of the social world and within the fields of differentiated discursivity. Based on a discussion with diverse empirical and theoretical investigations, this article notes that these devices make it possible for social subjects to construct processes of strategic identification and practices of resistance in the world they inhabit. The analytical and empirical approach was carried out from a focus and purpose of social research known as critical discourse analysis. This approach was used with regard to a case study investigation in Bogota, between 2006 and 2008, around the representations and emerging discourses about the policy of attention to the population in a situation of forced displacement.
