Abstract

GARCIA-SOLARTE, Mónica. Formulation of a leadership model based on organizational theories. Entramado [online]. 2015, vol.11, n.1, pp.60-79. ISSN 1900-3803.  https://doi.org/10.18041/entramado.2015v11n1.21111.

The purpose of this research is to propose a leadership model based on organizational theories. To this end, a literature review was conducted, processing 35 articles and 20 books using the Atlas Ti computer software. This review process led to the identification of the factors involved in a leadership process - environment, specific situation, leader organization, followers, strategy results, clients, community and communication- each of which provided a source of information for proposing the model in which all factors interact with each other This research study makes it possible to conclude that not only is the practice of leadership a leader's task, but there is also a series of dimensions that can guarantee that leadership is viewed as a whole, from the characteristics of the environment to the influence that leadership has on clients and community.

Keywords : Leadership; leadership model; organizational theories; followers; environment.
