Abstract

BOTELLO-PENALOZA, Hector Alberto  and  GUERRERO-RINCON, Isaac. Conditions for the empowerment of rural women in Colombia. Entramado [online]. 2017, vol.13, n.1, pp.62-70. ISSN 1900-3803.  https://doi.org/10.18041/entramado.2017v13n1.25135.

The article investigates the evolution of the conditions of empowerment of Colombian rural women. The study makes a comparative follow-up between the genres of education, work and poverty conditions through a study of census microdata and household surveys. There is evidence of a growing improvement in the indicators of empowerment of colombian rural women, however disadvantageous conditions for women and the rural versus urban areas still exist.
