This text axplores the ways in which historical reconstructions, carried out by different kinds of commissions of enquiry during political transitions, reproduce an reinforce a number of silences -specially those regarding the experiences of war- that paradoxically emerge at the actual moment or their articulation in language. How do survivors' testimonies are part or the mechanisms that legitimate these commissions? How are they inscribed into the political spaces of enunciation?
