Abstract

LUCAIOLI, Carina. CONSTRUCCIÓN DE TERRITORIOS: PERCEPCIONES DEL ESPACIO E INTERACCIÓN INDÍGENA Y COLONIAL EN EL CHACO AUSTRAL HASTA MEDIADOS DEL SIGLO XVIII. Antipod. Rev. Antropol. Arqueol. [online]. 2009, n.8, pp.117-139. ISSN 1900-5407.

This article analyzes the dynamics between social interactions and nature. It focuses on imaginary constructions around space, as well as on the different strategies unfolded by the abipones nomadic groups and the colonial actors. In the formation of the borderlands of the austral Chaco in the middle of the 18th century, this space was defined and understood as an "other "that offered a strong resistance to the colonizing project.

Keywords : Chaco; abipones; borderland; territoriality; 18th century.
