Abstract

NAROTZKY, Susana. HEGEMONIC ANTHROPOLOGIES AND SOUTHERN ANTHROPOLOGIES: THE CASE OF SPAIN. Antipod. Rev. Antropol. Arqueol. [online]. 2010, n.11, pp.241-258. ISSN 1900-5407.

The major theme i propose to address in "hegemonic anthropology and the anthropologies of the south: the case of spain" is that of power and the defnition of the conditions of possibility of anthropological knowledge production. it deals with ethics and responsibility and with the relationship between anthropologists and anthropological subjects. i will trace the main strands of the debate and i will also show how new forms of hegemony are put into place in present day spain.

Keywords : Anthropological Knowledge; Anthropologies of the South; Epistemology; Ethics; Hegemony.
