Abstract

GONZALEZ, Gabriela. Politics and Ordinariness: Memories of the Recent Past in Bahía Blanca (Argentina). Antipod. Rev. Antropol. Arqueol. [online]. 2015, n.23, pp.45-65. ISSN 1900-5407.  https://doi.org/10.7440/antipoda23.2015.04.

In this article we deal with some of the approximations undertaken as part of the research studies developed within the framework of our doctoral training. Said studies attempt to delve into the reconstruction of memories of the militancy of the Juventud Peronista in the city of Bahía Blanca between 1966 and 1976, taking into account the strong presence of the Armed Forces in said city. In this reconstruction, the native conceptions about politics and the political constitute one of the main nuclei of the debate. We thus place particular emphasis on the relationship between memory and testimony and on the possibilities that an ethnographic approach offers for studying political militancy.

Keywords : Politics; ordinariness; memory; recent past; ethnography.
