The purpose of this study is to analyze integration initiatives that aim to bring states of a region and deepen a cohesive regionalization in South America, but at the same time may become regional security issues. We will focus our work in the Amazon and some transnational projects Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America (IIRSA) that fall in the region and look at some recent events in Axis Bolivia-Peru-Brazil.
