Abstract

ACOSTA AREVALO, Carlos et al. The Assessment of Literacy Cross-curricular Competencies in the Field of Research Methodology Applied to the Military Sciences Professional Training. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.10, pp.259-285. ISSN 1900-6586.

In this paper, the authors present a preliminary pedagogical proposal for assessment in literacy cross-curricular competencies, according to the needs identified in previous research, in order to develop literacy generic skills in all the general fields involving research formation for the military sciences programa at the Military School of Cadets 'General José María Córdova'. Moreover, it is obvious that they make use of several cross-curricular competencies, which are interrelated and intended to embrace various levels, highlighting different aspects of knowing how to act: intellectual, methodological, personal, social and communicative. All these generic capabilities, called cross-curricular skills, were considered by them to be essential to enable students to adapt to various situations and to continue learning throughout their life, and are thus amenable to pedagogical action in all disciplines and research activities, since they refer to educational aspects that must be considered by each school agent
