We analyzed anthropometric and sociodemographic variables in relation to smoking. Somatotype was determined by participants in both groups. A subgroup (n = 33) who performed a field test (Test leger), we examined the cardiovascular risk in relation to waist circumference 21.7% of the population (n = 15) were current smokers, 7.2% (n = 5), were passive smokers, 27.5% former smokers (n = 19) and f43.4% (n= 30) nonsmokers. The average age of participants was 19 ±1years. Althougth the subgroup test conducted Leger was no difference in waist circumference between smokers and nonsmokers (79± 5.7 and 74.7 ± 5.4 respectively) as well as indirect oxygen consumption (43.6 ± 6.3 and 49.9 ±7.8) in no case showed cardiovascular risk.
