Abstract

This article examines the parameters and constraints that discuss the creation and dissemination of education system and the way in which ascribes the teaching of history in the general education cluster. It is stating that the national education system does not appear to correlate a picture that simply allows the State to exercise a hegemony closed in the processes of formation of the Colombian national identity. The emphasis will rather that this project was to facilitate cohesion and social mobility through various obstacles inherited from the nineteenth century.
