Cyberbullyng is a topic of great interest in Colombia due to the excessive contact that teens and pre-teens have with technology, making them increasingly away from the real world. They feel the need to have electronic devices to talk on social networks, which set them up likely to be victims of virtual attacks. Therefore, the objectives of this paper are to know why cyberbullying has grown in Colombia and to reflect on possible solutions that could minimize the resulting psychological impact. The development of this research was based on various literature sources and field studies that revealed the most employed social networks, the symptoms caused by the frequent use of them, and the different types of cyberbullying. Besides, there were brought up some possible solutions that control bodies and educational institutions have proposed to address cyberbullying, which is becoming stronger in social networks.
