It is hundreds of experiences that are much more than just a correlate of the violence, inequality and widespread crisis currently stars in this country. Think Community Radio as a historical and social process was the first step in a proposed research to answer the question of how the definition has changed and the sense of community in community radio in Colombia, from its beginnings to its current resurgence? In this paper we present the results of socio-historical analysis in the context of a larger work. Periodization proposal responds to the dynamics that marked the ruptures and continuities in the prevailing conceptions from the fifties, which arises Sutatenza Radio as the first historical reference of community radio in Colombia, until his "resurgence" in the first half of the nineties.
