Abstract

GARAY ACEVEDO, Claudia Patricia  and  PEREZ GUECHA, Andrea del Pilar. Human rights in Colombia, final peace agreement, and its projection in the security and defense policy. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2018, vol.16, n.23, pp.83-105. ISSN 1900-6586.  https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.307.

This article addresses the projection of Human Rights in the Security and Defense policy within the framework of the Final Peace Agreement. We used a qualitative method with a historical and critical perspective for this article. The units of analysis, whose triadic relationship we seek to demonstrate, are a) Human Rights in Colombia; b) Security and Defense Policy; and c) The Final Peace Agreement. Three thematic axes are structured to present the results. In the first, we observed the importance and historical significances of Human Rights; in the second, the final Peace Agreement is analyzed, and in the third, the projection of Human Rights is explained in a Security and Defense Policy, within the framework of the eventual transition scenario known as Post-Agreement. Lastly, some conclusions are proposed to expand the debate.

Keywords : Colombian armed conflict; final agreement; human rights; security and defense policy; post-agreement.
