A critical reading of the needs, expectations, and requirements for the advanced educational management training of administrators and educators of an educational institution was performed in this study. The objective was to create advanced training scenarios that contribute to the improvement of educational quality. This research is framed in the field of educational ethnography. The information collection technique used was mainly participant observation; however, unstructured interviews and documentary analysis were also used. By analyzing the characteristics of an educational establishment that is in a permanent process of improvement, weaknesses and training needs became evident in the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum to promote learning in the classroom (academic management), as well as in the development of collaborative relationships and collective commitment with actions that impact the community (community management).
