Abstract
OROPEZA CALDERON, Natalia and PEREZ PEREZ, Alejandra. Antisocial or criminal risk behaviors in youth from Mexico City. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2024, vol.22, n.46, pp.408-431. Epub June 30, 2024. ISSN 1900-6586. https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.1313.
To provide elements to prevent violence in Mexico City, it is measured from the perspective of social control, the impact of different variables on the probability that youth have engaged in risk or antisocial behaviors through a logistic regression model. The Social Cohesion for Prevention of Violence and Crime (Ecopred) survey was conducted on 1664 residents aged 12 to 29 in two city halls in 2014. The variables on the individual or family level, such as having been a victim of violence, having a conflictive family environment, and having friends with risk behaviors, had a positive impact. The variable of community social control was not significant. Gender was highlighted as a significant control variable, becoming an inhibiting factor in the fact of being a woman.
