Abstract

GOMEZ MONTOYA, Rodrigo Andrés. Inverse logistics a process with environmental and productivity impacts. Rev. P+L [online]. 2010, vol.5, n.2, pp.63-76. ISSN 1909-0455.

This revision article aims to describe and analyze inverse logistics from a conceptual focus, for processes and applications at both national and international levels, including the relation with the green supply chain. The method used was the revision and analysis of scientific books and articles, plus study cases related to the subject. The results are helpful to identify the importance of inverse logistics as a strategy for supply chains and national and international companies to protect environment and manage returns in an appropriate way, operating efficiently and recovering product value by the use of recycling processes, re-use and disposal, among others. On the other hand, decrees and norms to regulate waste management are observed in Colombia.

Keywords : inverse logistics; supply chain; IT.
