Abstract

GOMEZ MONTOYA, Rodrigo Andrés. A green supply chain proposal for an electric supplies company. Rev. P+L [online]. 2011, vol.6, n.2, pp.117-127. ISSN 1909-0455.

This paper aims to introduce a proposal to implement a Green Supply Chain Management model (GSCM) for an electric supplies company in Medellín. To achieve this, the first step taken is revising the GSCM's theoretical concepts until developing a corporative case, including the description of the organization, the strategies and practices used. The conclusion is that GSCM allows the company to develop a focus which not only can impact productivity, but contribute to sustainability from the relationships with suppliers and clients. In addition, the proposal turns into a focus that contributes to the adoption of GSCM in similar companies.
