Abstract

Introduction. A methodology to ellaborate projects in the area of management of debris from construction and demolition within the Colombian context is introduced. Objective. This proposal aims to serve as a base to formulate similar projects to be developed in Colombia or in other countries with similar necessities concerning the adequate management of construction and demolition debris. Materials and methods. The logical framework methodology procedures are followed. Results. The main methodological and theoretical results of this paper involve: (1) the analysis of the situation studied; (2) the selection of the actors involved (i.e. stakeholders); (3) the role of stakeholders in the project; (4) the position, power and frequency of the stakeholders concerning the project; (5) the analysis of the necessities; (6) the analysis of the objectives; (7) the analysis of the alternatives; (8) the analytical structure of the project and, finally, (9), the logical framework matrix that includes the narrative brief, the indicators, the verification means and the assumptions. Conclusions. The logical framework methodology contributes to the formulation of environmental projects for an adequate management of construction and demolition debris. It is, nevertheless, necessary to achieve a wider implementation of this methodology in order to solve the necessities of sustainable development currently demanded in the world.
