Abstract

OBANDO GUERRERO, LUIS ALFREDO. THE PRAE'S ANATOMY. Luna Azul [online]. 2011, n.33, pp.178-193. ISSN 1909-2474.

School Environmental Projects allow the making of diagnoses of environmental conditions in a particular region depending on the population's intervention when interacting with natural environments and with the resources they provide. In Colombia, Decree 1743 from August 3, 1994 provides guidelines for the design of such projects and the way in which the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development must intervene for such purpose. From the national level, the implementation of these projects through the development of five phases which make possible the creation of sound, feasible and sustainable projects over time that also transcend the classroom boundaries to project themselves into the educational communities trying to generate an environmental conscience and the preservation of natural resources for future generations, has been proposed, thus ensuring the survival of human species. Accordingly, a relevant process related to the design of the School Environmental Projects, adjusted to the proposals of the Central Government for the fulfillment of these objectives, has ben developed in the Municipality of Pasto.
