Abstract

SEPULVEDA GALLEGO, LUZ ELENA  and  AGUDELO SEPULVEDA, NATALIA. THINKING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: HISTORICAL APPROXIMATION TO INTERNATIONAL LEGISLATION FROM A CRITICAL PERSPECTIVE. Luna Azul [online]. 2012, n.35, pp.201-265. ISSN 1909-2474.

This article shows, through a chronological timeline, the most relevant international treaties and declarations dealing with Environmental Education. This way, it starts with the 1972 Stockholm Declaration and finishes with the Education for Sustainable Development framed as the UNESCO 2005-2014 plan. Besides, this article has the intention to provide tools for the analysis of such declarations both through its contextualization and through its conceptualization. Finally, the article proposes a critical view based in the impossibility to demonstrate the accomplishment of such policies and the structural contradictions of thos speeches.
