Abstract

ROJAS MARTINEZ, Laura Esther; MONTERO ONATE, María Trinidad  and  ZEQUEIRA CUERVO, Álvaro Alexander. EVALUATION OF THE SOIL MACROINVERTEBRATE DIVERSITY IN TOWNSHIP IN THE CENTER OF THE CESAR (CHIMICHAGUA, CHIRIGUANÁ, AND LA JAGUA DE IBIRICO). Luna Azul [online]. 2016, n.43, pp.203-228. ISSN 1909-2474.  https://doi.org/10.17151/luaz.2016.43.10.

Macroinvertebrates are organisms visible to the naked eye that runs multiple functions in ecosystems as benefactors for their ability to alter the atmosphere and soil surface. The objective of this study is to assess the diversity and relative soil - functional role of the macroinvertebrates of soil ecosystems of the township of Chimichagua, Chiriguaná and La Jagua de Ibirico (Cesar). The technique used for the collection of individuals was the tropical soil Biology and Fertility (TSBF). The variables to evaluate were; biomass, density, diversity, fairness and physicochemical factors of soil (pH, P, C, N, K, clay). Applied statistical analysis of variance and Tukey significant differences for biomass and density, spearman's correlation to physico-chemical variables and taxa. Coefficient of variation for biomass data, density, index of Shannon and equitability. It was determined that the taxonomic composition included three phyla, 7 classes, 16 orders and 35 families. The ecosystem "Playón" of the municipality of Chiriguaná has greater diversity with respect to the other ecosystems. The ecosystem "Arroyo" of the township of Chiriguaná constituted the highest value of density that corresponds to the 35.5% of the total. In terms of the biomass, the ecosystem "Gate of Heaven" of Chimichagua is above the other township with a biomass that represents 44% of the total. The taxa Hymenoptera and Isoptera and Hemiptera were related to ecosystems more disturbed and Haplotaxida with wet soil and average density of vegetation. The results of biomass, density, and taxa, indicated that there is a great influence of microclimatic conditions, degree of disturbacion of the sampled sites and some physico-chemical factors of soils in the composition of macroinvertebrates of these township.

Keywords : Macroinvertebrates; diversity; biomass; soil; density; function.
