Abstract
LOZANO MONROY, Félix David. LA ASOCIATIVIDAD COMO MODELO DE GESTIÓN PARA PROMOVER LAS EXPORTACIONES EN LAS PEQUEÑAS Y MEDIANAS EMPRESAS EN COLOMBIA. rev.relac.int.estrateg.segur. [online]. 2010, vol.5, n.2, pp.161-191. ISSN 1909-3063.
In general, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which correspond to the vast majority of local businesses, find it difficult to successfully export from Colombia due to their comparative small size that prevents them from having a financial structure to provide significant production capacity and efficient cost structure. For this situation, it is proposed, as alternative, to implement a model of association between these businesses to try to successfully offer their production in foreign markets. Through business chains or networks it would be possible to overcome the individual limitations of those companies, so that in a pooled and harmonized manner, larger production volumes, more competitive pricing and better negotiating capacity can be achieved.
Keywords : association; non-traditional exports; non-financial promotion; SMEs; clusters and competitive chains.
