GUTIERREZ GONZALEZ, Manuel Alejandro. Is the Mexican Military Doctrine a Common Good?. rev.relac.int.estrateg.segur. [online]. 2022, vol.17, n.1, pp.71-86.  Epub 30-Jun-2022. ISSN 1909-3063.  https://doi.org/10.18359/ries.5370.

In recent decades, interest in studying the common good has increased. Ostrom’s contribution to the subject of the commons has brought the study of what the commons and the common good are to the classroom and academic discussion. This article is based on a conception of the common good worked on in recent years at the Institute for the Promotion of the Common Good (IPBC, for its initials in Spanish), Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), Mexico. It investigates whether the Mexican military doctrine is one common good-of all common goods- that the Mexican Army and Air Force (EFAM, for its initials in Spanish) may have. For this, the article will be divided into three sections: the first will mention how the common good is conceived and how its dynamics are; the second explains what doctrine is and how it has been perceived within a nearly bimillenary institution, and the third deals with the military doctrine and what the Mexican military doctrine is. It doe not intend to exhaust the subject, but it could be the beginning of several studies on the relationship between the Mexican military doctrine and the common good.
