the innovation discourse has been extended to different areas of life in society. It has been increasingly patterned in the public sector through spaces called "innovation labs" (i-Labs). "innovation laboratories" (i-Labs). The purpose of this article is to characterize it from the point of view of its proximity to international agencies. from the point of view of its proximity to international agencies. The study is based on a review of narratives based on evidence extracted from documentary and bibliographic sources theoretical and empirical research. The results show that there are two types of i-Labs two types of i-Labs: organizational and social. The proposed characterization made it possible to situate and understand the approach of international agencies with four i-Labs existing in Ibero-American countries.
Labs in Ibero-American countries can help public managers and policy analysts make decisions. public managers and public policy analysts on what type of i-Labs to adopt.
