Abstract

Pierre Bourdieu (1930 - 2002) and Anthony Giddens (1938- ) constitute two of the best examples of the synthesis that surpasses the classic dualisms of sociological thought. The article shows how, despite their differences in theoretical and empirical approach and the traditions of thought of which come, produced an ontology of social practices that are supported on basics for the current social science such habitus, field, duality of structure and social integration and systemic.
