Objective.

To present an approach to the reading of the struggles for the memory developed at the national level between 2013 and 2017.

Methodology.

This analysis is the result of the interpretative approach of press articles, statements in the media, official documents and statements of the visible actors in the transitional justice scenario.

Results.

Here, the approach to theoretical discussions, typical of the field of work on memory, allows reading the actions of state actors and political and social organizations in terms of political disputes.

Conclusion.

It is concluded that, in recent years, these struggles have had different activation situations in which the discussions and strategies developed in relation to the meaning of memory reconstruction to position interpretations of the past and to control the institutional spaces arranged for the construction and dissemination of narratives about what happened during the Colombian armed conflict can be observed.
