Abstract

Objective.

To evidence the multiple attacks against the “Sintraproaceites” union located in San Alberto, south of Cesar in the period from 1960 to 2004.

Methodology.

Qualitative research with a focus on historical memory with members of the Fundesvic foundation.

Results.

Through the accounts of the victims, the participation of economic and political sectors in anti-union violence in the process of paramilitary consolidation, directly attacking the labor organization, is highlighted.

Conclusions.

The historical memory process allowed a reconstruction of the systematic harassment and murder of the union members in the municipality of San Alberto.
