Abstract

MONTOYA-CUELLAR, Laura Vanessa. The reconceptualization of the Social Work unionization in Antioquia. Rev. eleuthera [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.1, pp.291-308.  Epub Aug 30, 2022. ISSN 2011-4532.  https://doi.org/10.17151/eleu.2022.24.1.15.

Objective.

Analyze unionization processes during the Reconceptualization period in Antioquia (1969-1978).

Methodology.

A documentary analysis of the historical archives of the Association of Social Workers of Antioquia (ATSA) is carried out, theoretically and methodologically based on dialectical historical materialism.

Results.

The historical events of the reconceptualization, the training scenarios, the interuniversity and union articulations, and the advances in professional regulation were described.

Conclusion.

The reconceptualization of the Social Work union in Antioquia was a process marked by ideological contradictions, which prompted theoretical reflections, spaces for articulation (nationalinternational) and the bill for professional regulation.
